Organize Your Toiletries In Minutes
This week’s organizing focus is TOILETRIES. If you haven’t grabbed May’s FREE cleaning and organizing calendar yet, you can go here to grab it. And June’s FREE calendar will be out later this week.
Your challenge this week is to take a little time to sort and organize your toiletries. The easiest way to start this process is to determine toiletry area you want to organize and then empty it. Shower have empty or nearly empty bottles of shampoo? Loads of sample sized-toiletries in your cupboard? Here are a couple ideas you can use today to get your toiletries organized in minutes!
- Completely empty space – drawer, shower stall, shower organizer, cupboard, or any other area you are storing your toiletries.
- Spray with your favorite all-purpose cleaner and wipe area clean.
- Toss any toiletries that you haven’t used in the last month or don’t see yourself using in the near future.
- Follow the best rule of organizing – group like items together. Lots of sample-sized toiletries? Put in a box, bin, or basket for guests or for future travel.
- Drawer dividers are your friends – if you don’t have them in your bathroom drawers, consider picking up a couple so your toiletries can stay organized.
- Not a lot of space? Condense your toiletries down as much as you can – it’ll simplify your routine and your toiletry storage.

Hi Becky! I am not good at cleaning and my husband is in military, gone a lot. So I miss his leadership/bossiness telling us what to clean. So I turn to your emails and A Slob comes Clean to literally tell me what to do. Right now I am purging, then packing up house for move. Have WAY too many toiletries and other stuff. So this latest email got me going. But 2 links I wanted to use are not available.
This one: ◾If you are looking to do a major purge and overhaul of your toiletries and bathroom storage space, “check out this post”.
and: I love “this system” of keeping everything in dividers and containers so that everything has it’s place. Via Pretty Well Organized
Thanks, I love your blog

We have no drawers in our bathroom vanities and I have struggled to figure out a solution to keep all the little bathroom necessities organized in the one big under the sink cupboard. Any suggestions?

Post authorYou could try a small drawered cabinet that fits under your sink and think UP – is there space in your bathroom you could add a shelf or two? Maybe above your toilet?

I have virtually no extra storage in my bathroom. There’s literally only two closets in my entire home. In the bathroom we use a linen tower. Linens are on 1 1/2 shelves & the rest hold toiletries. How can I get all the ‘extras’ organized in their small space???

Post authorLook for a small container that can hold them – maybe a cute basket or tote?
