How do you freeze your shredded chicken so that it doesn’t get freezer burn? That is my one big problem with freezing chicken.
Becky Says...
Post authorI put it in the refrigerator to fully cool and then I just put it in a freezer-safe plastic container.

I always freeze my shredded chicken in ziplock bag, squeezing out all the air possible… can even suck it out with a straw (i don’t have a vacuum sealer… but works well enough)… air is the enemy of food in the freezer!

You could also vacuum seal it. Here is the one I have off amazon
Andrew James High Quality Black Vacuum Food Sealer Bag Packing Machine – Includes 2 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JB9K4RA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_fOphwbQRCR5GY
You can also get bags too. Hope this helps xx

One of the things that I do for my family is to buy organic ground turkey from Costco and make a large batch of taco meat to be used in taco salads(lunches), paleo enchilada bake(we use shredded chicken for this too), and for a quick protein for my kiddos in burritos and quesadillas. It’s also good on our “loaded” sweet potatoes(we bake a batch of sweet potatoes in the slow cooker when the weather gets colder).
