A Simplified Week : Toys

a simplified week

As part of Start Here. I post a weekly recap with a couple ideas (mostly simple and easy to implement) for the week’s focus and a few ideas from the web that I’ve enjoyed over the week.

Toys:

  • When it comes to organizing kid’s toys, keep it simple. Check out these three steps to keep the toys organized and in their place. Via Clean Mama
  • Do you ever feel as though your home looks like a daycare when you have people over? This post is full of practical ideas on how to get the toys out of your living spaces, or at least contain them really well! Via White House Black Shutters
  • I love the idea of toy rotation. It keeps  the creative play fresh while minimizing all the “stuff” and too-many-toys syndrome. Via While He Was Napping

Something to Eat:

  • I made these fantastic wraps for dinner this week and they were a huge hit. I added some rotisserie chicken for some added protein and feta instead of goat cheese for the younger palates. Light and easy- can’t beat that for a weeknight dinner! Via Giada De Laurentiis

Something to Make:

  • Rather than search for just the perfect duvet cover, why not try making your own with just the right fabric? The simple diagram and measurements take the math and guesswork out. Via Simplicity

Something for the Kids:

  • These sweet little paint dipped repurposed jars would be a perfect project for little ones and big ones. How about some ombre spring shades for the season? Via Oh Happy Day

Simplify:

  • Packing for a vacation tends to be a lot of work, especially when you are packing for more than just yourself. I am loving this visual (and cute!) outfit board for mix and match outfits for us mommies and women. Via House Mix Blog
