Clean + Organized – Counter Clutter
Here are 5 quick steps you can do TODAY to combat your counter clutter – ready? They are really simple:
- Toss it all in a garbage bag
- Wipe off your counters
- Empty the bag on the floor
- Sort – file OR toss
- Make clearing your clutter part of your DAILY routine (you’ll notice that counters and clutter is on nearly every schedule that I make (free and in the shop) – because I know that it adds up and multiplies in a hurry!)
Now go clear off your counter!
I really….really….REALLY need to start doing this everyday.

I loved the first step and thought you were going to say to throw it all away! haha – However, love the idea and looking forward to exploring your website!
I thought the same thing. I figured… That is one way to clear it. 😉
Unfortunately the filing would take about 15+ minutes so this 5 minute job is really a 20 minute (minimum) job, at least for MY counters/table.
Thank you Becky. I so needed to hear this 🙂
Last year (2013) I made a decision that, Less is More. For over year I have been purging every room, every closet in my home. At times I’m still going back and purging again as the room or closet won’t stay as neat and clean as I wanted. Weekly or biweekly cleaning is now so much simpler! Cleaning is now cleaning, not picking up all the extra stuff that I already had to much of for 3 hours before I clean! Less is better!
