Where do you keep your canned and dry foods? A pantry, a cupboard, a drawer? Let’s clean it out today, shall we?

Follow these simple ‘clean out the pantry’ tips:
throw away any expired foods
if you have too many cans of something (and it’s not expired) donate to a local food shelf
sort and group like foods together
put back in a way that makes sense for how you cook and shop
The best thing that I ever did for my pantry storage?
two straight-sided trays (from Target)- one for baking supplies and one for cooking supplies
no drips, no messes, and easy to access
what’s your best pantry organization tip?

For my family, we need LABELS. I don’t know what it is about my boys, but if there is a label there, there is a 90% chance it will end up back where it goes. I should just print a bunch of labels in bulk saying PUT YOUR CRAP BACK HERE 🙂

We have one of those over the door shoe pockets hanging on the back of out pantry door. It is great for our baking items because much of that stuff is small and fits in the pockets great. We labeled everything, so everyone know where to find and put stuff away. Works out really well for us!

I really like those trays. My best pantry habit is shelving similar canned goods together, just like the grocery store does: all the green beans are in one row, soups are in another, tomato-based products are stacked together, etc.

I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile. I have those food consolidators that rotate your can goods. LOVE them! I’m going to try out your baking/cooking trays.

I love a clean pantry. Each pull out shelf in my pantry is for a different group of items. This way I know where to look for something instead of pulling out each shelf. Then I just re organize every now and then as needed.
