Cleaning With Borax – 11 Simple Recipes – FREE Printable
Last week I shared a free printable for Cleaning With Baking Soda and this week I shared a free printable for Cleaning With Vinegar. Because I can’t stop coming up with these recipes, I have another one for you today – Cleaning With Borax. Borax (sodium, boron, oxygen, and water) isn’t as natural as vinegar or baking soda, but if you buy a box of it to make laundry detergent it’s nice to have a couple other ways to use it.
Grab the FREE printable here and if you prefer black + white go here to grab that version.
Put it in your cleaning binder or just pin it and reference it as needed – happy {Borax} cleaning! Looking for more DIY Homemade Cleaning Recipes? Check out this series.

Here’s a formula for a really good non-abrasive cleanser that I picked up from somewhere and I can’t remember when or where; this is absolutely the best cleanser I’ve ever used, and it’s great for stuff like deodorizing plastic bottles and getting tough baked-on food off pans, also.:
1 cup Borax
1 cup table salt
1 cup baking soda
2 T washing soda
Mix together well. Store in a tightly-covered container. A small coffee can works well. I use either a sugar shaker or an empty Parmesan cheese container to disburse the cleanser. Use it just like the “other” stuff. You don’t need to use much, by the way. It does wonders for stainless steel and aluminum fixtures, too.

I used a paste of Borax and soda to remove spots from my red tile floor. It removed the finish — how can I restore the luster?

Dear Becky,
For some reason when I try to print any of your printables off your site, I get an error that says the file cannot be previewed, and that the file is in the owner’s trash. Very odd. Is this just me? I have tried two different browsers.
Thank you!
Rebecca
