July 17, 2013
Last week I shared a free printable for Cleaning With Baking Soda with a free printable and it was so popular that I thought I’d do something similar with vinegar (I’ve added a black and white version if you are interested, check out the post). Vinegar is just as versatile as baking soda and a must for anyone DIYing their cleaning recipes. Need a quick reference sheet for some of the best ways to clean with vinegar? Check out these recipes!
Grab the FREE printable here and if you prefer black and white, you can go here to grab that version. Put it in your cleaning binder or just pin it and reference it as needed – happy {vinegar} cleaning! Looking for more DIY Homemade Cleaning Recipes? Check out this series.

I used it to clean the brown stains (well water) in my dishwasher! http://www.thissimplehome.com/2012/03/how-to-clean-brown-stains-in-dishwasher.html if interested.
Question: What is the purpose of the rubbing alcohol addition when cleaning vinyl flooring? Thanks!

Post authorLove it, thanks Annette! The rubbing alcohol kills germs and evaporates quickly on laminate flooring – should keep it from streaking too!

Re: Item #3, I like to add 1 cup each of vinegar and baking soda to each load of laundry. It serves to both freshen the clothes and keep the machine smelling sweet.

I do not like cleaning with baking soda or borax so much because how much rinsing you have to do say as a substitute for comet etc. I do like vinegar for laundry softner and as a glass/ kitchen cleaner. I use dishsoap for soap scum and a kitchen sink cleaner. works great. rubbing alchohol will stain wallpaper if it gets on it.

Love this website. I am mostly cleaning with vinager and baking soda and dish soap. I am so sensitive to the chemicals in cleaning products. I have my handy bottle of half vinager and water to clean stuff. Thanks again!
