DAY 4: Paperwork – Kick the Clutter Challenge
Welcome to Day 4 of the Kick the Clutter Challenge! The new year is a great time to start new habits and to clear some clutter. Every day this week (January 3-7, 2022), you’ll find these prompts on cleanmama.com and on social media. Follow the checklist and you’ll put the Daily Task of ‘Clutter’ into practice AND get some space back in your home.
Task 4: PAPERWORK – Create an IN/OUT basket for incoming and outgoing paperwork. Use this moving forward as you work to have less paper clutter. Set a timer for 15 minutes and go through that pile on your counter or desk. Use the Clean Mama paper sorting process of: Keep, Toss/Recycle, Shred, File.
If you feel like continuing with another paper pile, set your timer for another 15 minutes and repeat. QUICK TIP: Deal with mail daily – do a quick sort every day of incoming mail and paperwork. This will keep your paper piles at a minimum.

TruStone Credit Union (in Twin Cities) has a shredder in the lobby. Also I noticed that some HealthPartners clinics (West Clinic) and affiliated hospitals (Methodist and Park Nicollet) have shredders in/near the entrances. I don’t have to wait for an annual Shredder event. Even dropped stuff off for shredding when I had no other reason to visit.
