With fall and winter comes drier air in the house and the need for a little furniture polishing. Mix this DIY Citrus Wood Polish up, spray directly on your polishing/dusting cloth and polish away. The mixture will protect your furniture and give your home an uplifting scent as you go.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- ½ cup white vinegar
- ¼ cup fractionated coconut oil or almond oil
- 20 drops essential oil (lemon and orange are great for this!) I’m using my Cozy Essential Oil Blend – it’s lemon & clove.
Mix in a spray bottle, shake before using as it will separate, spray on your cloth and polish wood surfaces. This DIY will last 2-4 weeks unless you use it up sooner. Feel free to mix it up in a smaller batch if you don’t think you’ll go through it in 2-4 weeks.
Why does this work? The white vinegar cleans, the oil protects, and the essential oils give the spray a clean, refreshing scent. Looking for more DIY Recipes? Check out these posts or grab my DIY Cleaning Recipes Pocket Notebook.

This should work on a piano wood right? It doesn’t have a shiny paint (think black baby grand…) it’s an upright and similar to other wood furniture.
