Sometimes a quick and simple tip that can make the mundane a little easier or make your life a little better makes a BIG difference. Attaching one habit to another is a great way to build a new and lasting habit. I am guessing there are habits like this that you are already doing – for instance, when you go somewhere you take your purse or phone (or both), when you are doing laundry you put one load in the washer and move the other to the dryer, after you brush your teeth you floss them. By simply linking one habit to the next you’ll make a little reminder for your brain and you’ll get a little more done. Today’s everyday tip is one of my favorite little habits…. I start the coffee maker and while I’m waiting longingly for the coffee to brew I unload the dishwasher (one of my most dreaded tasks). I mindlessly unload the dishwasher while I wait for the coffee to brew and surprisingly they take about the same amount of time – 3-4 minutes. This is such a great trick for getting a little something done first thing in the morning.
