Everyday Tips : Keep those Headphones Untangled
Sometimes a quick and simple tip that can make the mundane a little easier or make your life a little better makes a BIG difference. This is a new series here on the blog where I’ll be sharing simple tips, finds, and suggestions to make life a little easier. I’ll be sharing these tips regularly on the blog (see all of them here) and on Instagram– make sure you’re following along!
Use a large clip to keep headphones from getting tangled up. Wrap the wires around your hand and place them in between the metal. The wires will stay untangled and you can quickly find them in your bag or purse. Use decorative tape to personalize your clip and so you know whose gear is whose.
I keep my headphones in my purse so I always have them ready for the gym or if I want to listen to a quick podcast. If I don’t do this they end up as a tangled mess in my purse.
I’m guessing you might have a large binder clip around your house but if you don’t, they’re easy to come by and definitely an inexpensive fix.
I lightly wrap the wires around my hand, open the clip, and then just put it in the metal space and close it. Super easy.
I added a piece of decorative tape on both sides to jazz it up a bit – this would also work if you have multiple headsets you’re trying to keep straight.

Genius! I was just untangling my headphones this morning thinking I needed to finally break down and buy something. Now I finally have a use for those binder clips taking up space in my drawer! Thanks for sharing!
