The Organically Clean Home
GUESS WHAT?! My book, The Organically Clean Home: 150 Everyday Organic Cleaning Products You Can Make Yourself–The Natural, Chemical-Free Way is available for pre-order!
I am so excited to share my real, hold in your hands, use in your home book with you that I can hardly stand it! (Shoot, I can’t wait to have it in my own hands so I can have all my favorite cleaning recipes handy in a neat little book.) If you pre-order today you’ll have my book at your doorstep on or before the release date of April 18th. I’ll be sharing more about the book in the coming months but a couple things you’ll find in the book….
- 150 cleaning recipes you can use in your home for just about ANY cleaning conundrum. The best part? The ingredients are all-natural and safe.
- FREE access to all of the cleaning worksheets that are in the book so you can print them out for yourself. I love this feature of the book – it incorporates my printables business right alongside the book.
Here are just a couple of the recipes:
- Lemon and clove hardwood floor cleaner
- No-bleach laundry whitener and brightener
- Peppermint glass and mirror wipes
- Lavender and lemon bathroom disinfecting spray
- Citrus foaming hand soap
Thank you for your support – it does not go unnoticed! There are affiliate links in this post.

I only say a paperback version. Is there going to be a kindle version available so I can print the printables instead of having to copy them out of a book?
Becky Says
Post authorYes, there will be an ebook version but the paperback version has a special link that you can use to get pdf versions of ALL the printables for free (if you purchased the book).

I am so excited to start trying some of the recipes in this book, I have two small children and am slowly removing all of the bad chemicals from our home. This book has a recipe for everything and I’m so excited I got a copy. You mention above that there are downloads available of the checklists in the Appendix, I must just be missing where to find those? Thanks!

Hi Becky! I’m so excited to have received my book a few days ago! I sat down and immediately made a list of the recipes I need most! I have a weird problem for you, though – I noticed on a few recipes, the amount needed is substituted with a cute little penguin-looking icon (the amount of oil in the Citrus Wood Cleaner and Polish, for example). I know there is at least one other recipe with the same icon instead of an amount. Can you clarify the amounts for me? I can give you specific recipes/ingredients if you want.
Thanks!
Becky - Clean Mama Says
Hi Beth! It’s 1/3 cup – sorry about that it’s been caught and corrected for the next version. Happy Cleaning!

Patty Says
Hi Becky, I also bought the book at Barnes and Noble but don’t see a link listed for the printables. Where is it listed?
Thanks!

Loving the book! Already have favorite must-do receipes tabbed. Question: vitamin E oil. I found almond oil with the essential oils in my health food shop but the only E oil I can find is with the skin care stuff. Is that what I buy or am I missing it somewhere else?
Patricia Filippone Says
Love the new book. Having all those recipes in one place is wonderful. However, when I was making the Lemon and Peppermint Toilet Cleaning Treatment there is a strange symbol by the citric acid, so not quite sure how much needs to be used.
Becky Says
Post authorThanks Patricia! It’s 1/3 of a cup 🙂
Shawna Says
I have that strange symbol too! If I recall correctly, that symbol is used whenever citric acid is an ingredient. Is it safe to assume 1/3 cup each time (I could just be recalling incorrectly!)?
But overall, I LOVE the book and agree that having all the recipes in one place is wonderful. Thanks!
Becky Says
Post authorYes, it’s 1/3 cup 🙂
Shawna Says
Thank you! 🙂

I love your website! I just got your book and have implemented several of your recipes. I do have a question …. my son is allergic to coconut and almond. Do you have a substitute for these oils that I could use? Would olive oil work?
Thanks!
Becky Says
Post authorSunflower would be another option…..
Thank you!
xo, Becky
Rachel Clarke Says
Thanks. I got the sunflower oil and am making it today. One more question… can you substitute witch hazel for the vodka?
Chris Says
Hi Becky,
I love your book! Thanks for making so many recipes available and easy! Quick question on the amounts. I made the toilet tablets and the garbage freshener tablets. The recipes said it would make 16, 1 tbsp. tablets. Mine made 32. It also dried within a couple of hours. They worked fine, just curious why my amount is so much more.
Becky Says
Post authorThanks Chris! You can push more into the trays – try that next time and see if you get different results. The end result should be 1 tablespoon compacted.

I saw where someone else had posted they have a symbol instead of a number for lemon & peppermint toilet cleaner. I also have it for the oil measurement in Citrus Wood Cleaner and Polish. Would that be 1/3 cup as well?
Thanks.

Yes 🙂

There’s a link to download the 20+ pages in the back of the ebook and if you can print from your ereader you could print the book, but it’s 224 pages….it would probably be cheaper to buy the paperback 🙂 xo, Becky

I finally got around to buying the ingredients for some of your recipes. But I have a question about your 2 fabric softener recipes. How does the recipe using the gallon of vinegar yield fewer loads than the recipe using 16 ounces? Am I missing something? Thanks! I’m excited to get started.
Becky Says
Post authorIt’s a typo – the gallon yields more – sorry Tiff!

Hi Becky, I really love your book and website. Someday, I will find a place for your book on my kitchen shelf, but for now I carry it with me around the house. I have really enjoyed trying the cleaning recipes and am happy to follow your cleaning routine. It really works for my household, and I have found some similarities between your organizational style and mine. Your printable forms, emails, and blogs have also helped keep me motivated and on top of the routine. Many thanks!

Hey, Becky! I love your blog and purchased your book right away. It’s taken me to summer’s end to get my life in order, but I am clearing out the laundry to start my (your!) weekly cleaning schedule starting tomorrow, the first day of school! I just got rid of paper towels and put together a cleaning caddy!! Yay! Anyway, I was hoping to get access to the charts in the appendix of the book. I found a few of them by searching your blog, but not all. Thanks so much for everything you do to make MY home and family run more smoothly!!!

Hi Becky, I just bought your book and there appears to be an error on p.97 ( Lemon and peppermint toilet cleaning treatment). Instead of an amount for the citric acid, there is a symbol. It appears to be a typo of some sort. Could you please let me know how much citric acid this recipe takes? Thank you.
Becky Says
Post authorYep! It’s 1/3 cup 🙂

Thanks so much, Becky!
