It’s the Little Things #114
How is your January going? We have enjoyed a slightly quieter week here with minimal activities and schedule craziness. The weather has definitely gotten chillier and I have put the warm and cozy sweaters and sweatshirts in to the rotation. This week I am sharing a collection of things that I have come across in Internet land that has caught my eye. As always, you can see all of my favorite things posts linked here.
Our absolute favorite pizza is Lou Malnati’s, a local-ish pizza chain. We always include a salad as a side – it’s a favorite. You can imagine how excited I was to try this one out and find that it was pretty much a dead ringer. Even a non-salad lover declared it a winner.
I always love a good cleaning comparison to see what really is the most effective. If you have some tricky grease and grime stains on your Pyrex glass dishes, check out this post from the Kitchn.
Tip: my new Foaming Scrubbing Sponges work amazingly well on baked-on food, just sayin’ 🙂
I love a good end of the year roundup and a peek as to what the most popular posts for other bloggers are. This fashion one from Classy Yet Trendy sure was fun to peruse. I especially enjoyed the post about the 29-piece neutral capsule wardrobe.
It has gotten colder and darker earlier here in the Midwest and we are leaning in to the cozy feelings winter brings. I am all about creating a feeling in our home, so this post from Sugar and Charm all about Hygge was inspiring.
What’s on the docket for you this weekend?
A couple Clean Mama Items:
Thank you to all of you that have ordered Clean Mama’s Guide to a Peaceful Home! I have been blown away by the excitement and support from the book – it’s so much fun to finally have this little out in the world. If you love it, I’d love for you to leave a review and share the book on social media! Tag me so I can re-share 🙂
Don’t miss the 5 Day Home Refresh – sign up by January 31st to be in the group – it’s just $15 for the 17 page pdf guide AND the group with 5 lives with me. We’re working on 5 clutter areas of our homes TOGETHER February 1st-5th. I’m so excited to hold this group again. If you’re working through Clean Mama’s Guide to a Peaceful Home, the two can easily be tied together.
If you’re waiting for the Laundry Detergent Spray to be back in stock, look for it next week along with an UNSCENTED version too – hooray! I’m just going to give you fair warning that this sold out faster than any other product – it’s amazing and so is your feedback! Watch for the announcement so you can snag some for yourself!

Love Lou’s and their salads too! Such comfort food for colder weather or a too hot to cook midwest summer night. Love the wardrobe and cozy home ideas. Thank you for sharing.

A question, actually. My washing machine has been unusable for a year. A home health worker broke it twice. Now it cannot be repaired and we do not have funds to get a new one. So I am doing a lot more handwashing than usual. It’s a lot of soaking because the person I caregiver at home makes a lot of messes.
Would the spray laundry soap make it go faster? As in not having to soak could i scrub-rub-rinse and be done in half the time?
