It’s the Little Things #117
Brrr! Here in the Midwest, winter weather has officially hit and we have had some freezing cold weather move in- and I mean that literally, as the temperature has dipped below zero pretty much every day. We have been spending more time indoors and pulled out a couple of board games and made more cocoa than usual.
This week I am sharing some fun finds- a new album from a favorite artist, colorful craft, easy updo and make ahead slow cooker meals. You can see all of my It’s the Little Things posts here.
If you have listened to any of my Spotify playlists, chances are you have heard a song or two from JJ Heller. Her new album I Dream of You Volume 3 is so good. It has classic and newer love song remixes perfect for background music or when you are in the mood for some mellow tunes. I’m listening to it as I type up this post 🙂
This sweet rainbow garland from Sweet Red Poppy is such a fun looking project. I have a feeling my daughter is going to be raiding the yarn stash and making one for her room this weekend.
I love the classic look of a chignon but to be honest, I thought it looks a little fussy to recreate on my own. Real Simple breaks it down in to such an easy casual updo. Time to break out of the ponytail rut!
’Tis the season for cozy and easy comfort food, right? Check out all these crockpot options from Thriving Home. Even better, make two and freeze one for those busy days.
Did you see my post this week about how to launder cleaning cloths? If you have been around my blog and social media for any amount of time, you probably have noticed that I use cleaning cloths and microfiber whenever possible over paper towels and other disposable options. Take care of them the correct way with these tips.
I also shared the Guide to Laundry this week as well – you guys are LOVING it! It’s everything you need to tackle your laundry and win. Check it out here.
What have you come across this week that has caught your eye?
A couple Clean Mama Items:
Did you see the Spring Quarterly? It’s one of my favorite things on the site – a quiet approach to homekeeping and an invitation to slow down. Check it out here.
Did you know that I have Clean Mama products on Amazon? You’ll find some favorites and some different configurations like sets of 12 sponges and sets of 12 flour sack towels.
Did you see that my Laundry Detergent Spray is not only back in stock but I have also added an unscented option? It has been flying off of the virtual shelves in my shop and I am excited to report that it is fully in stock. I also added a subscription option with a discount so you don’t have to think about reordering it. Find out more about the Laundry Detergent Spray here!
Thank you to all of you that have ordered Clean Mama’s Guide to a Peaceful Home! I have been blown away by the excitement and support from the book – it’s so much fun to finally have this book out in the world. If you love it, I’d love for you to leave a review and share the book on social media! Tag me so I can re-share 🙂

I am loving your new book, Becky! I thought maybe I’d feel a little under the pile while reading it because I feel like I have a long way to go in creating home systems, but honestly it’s the opposite! Thanks for your grace-filled and helpful book, this blog post, and for sharing our latest blog post about Crockpot Freezer Meals. You are awesome! – Rachel

Hello. I have some jackets that really have “ground in dirt” . Can this spray get this grime off (I’m talking from normal wear, the underside arm seam and along the cuff). Will this type of dirt dissolve with enzymes? Thanks!!
