It’s the Little Things #14
Happy Friday! I am so ready for the weekend – I think it’s time to grab mums for the front porch. I can’t wait! I’m going to share some favorites from the week with you – it might be a quote, a print, what I’m reading, a favorite podcast, a playlist, a recipe, a helpful tip, a cleaning product, or something I added to our home. Basically if it’s something little that I feel is shareable or if it’s something I’d bring up to a friend over coffee or on the phone, I’m probably going to share it with you here. Here’s a link to all of the posts in this series.
I’m loving this new cookbook, Simple Green Meals, from Jen Hansard of Simple Green Smoothies. I’ve tried a couple of the recipes – so good!
Next on my list are the Maple Granola Bars and the Lemon Meltaways. image + recipe via Simple Green Smoothies
I usually put my mums in our large black planters on the front porch but I think I’m going to take a cue from Liz Marie on her fall porch set up.
Pumpkins in the planters and mums nestled among pumpkins – isn’t it lovely? You can see her whole post here with oodles of inspiration like this one.
Something I’m trying? Kombucha. I spent more money on it than I’d like to admit on bottled kombucha – the kids and I like to sip it instead of soda. My sister has been making it for years so she shared a scoby with me the last time we were together. A couple mistakes later and finally, my first batch should be ready this weekend for the second ferment. I’ll keep you posted – in the meantime, I’ve found lots of resources on the Kitchn if you’re curious.
What have you been enjoying this week? Any little things to share?
