It’s the Little Things #179
Ready for the weekend? We have had a week of beautiful weather and we have loved taking advantage of it with plenty of walks, bike rides and exploring. Our weekend is pretty low-key too and I am not one bit sad about it.
I have some fun new finds for you this week, including a Salmon Poke Bowl recipe from A Couple Cooks, some light hearted book suggestions from Mind Joggle and a vanilla sweet cream cold foam recipe from Coffee at Three. Take a moment to look at some cleaner toiletry bag suggestions from Just Ingredients as well as my updated DIY All-Purpose Cleaner recipe over on my blog. There is something for everyone this week!
A friend shared with Salmon Poke Bowl recipe from A Couple Cooks with me and raved about it. We love bowls in our home so that everyone can tailor their dinner to their specifications. I can’t wait to make this one!
As I shared recently on Instagram, I have been in the mood for a light and fun summer read. I was perusing Pinterest and found this post with light-hearted reads. Mind Joggle is a new-to-me book suggestion blog and I am all in for the great reviews.
Cold coffee drinks are my favorite in the summer, especially in the afternoon. How delicious does this Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam from Coffee at Three look?
I appreciate Karalynn’s suggestions and manageable tips to live healthier. Her recent post on Instagram with toiletry bag suggestions is right up my alley. She’s a fun follow.
I updated my DIY All-Purpose Cleaner this week with a fresh new post and a reel on Instagram. This cleaner is a fan favorite and gets daily use in our home. Not only is it safe and effective, it is ridiculously inexpensive to make yourself.

Love you blog and have learned so much! I bought some kitchen towels and I love those.
For the All purpose spray – Why just water and vinegar?
What is your favorite sanitizing spray to use? Do you make that or buy?
Thanks

Post authorWater and vinegar is a great all-purpose cleaner, you can add essential oils to it too. It cuts through dirt and grime and removes some germs. You can add a drop or two of dish soap if you’d like. Here’s my favorite sanitizing/disinfecting spray recipe – I’ll be updating this soon on the blog too: https://cleanmama.com/diy-natural-disinfecting-spray/

Just a thought regarding the salmon recipe. I like to make sure that whatever kind I buy is a product of the USA . . .

Thanks for so faithfully sharing fresh recipes! Your blog has helped me so much over the years in maintaining a cozy clean home. I wanted to share a book recommendation: The Star that Always Stays by Anna Rose Johnson. I don’t usually recommend books, but this one was such a blessing I had to share!

Post authorAw, thanks for following along and I’ll definitely check that book out!

Salmon must be wild caught, not farm raised. Farmed salmon has contaminates from the food plus they are kept in dirty water. Read before shopping.
