It’s the Little Things #24
Happy Friday! Here are my favorites from the week with you – it might be a quote, a print, what I’m reading, a favorite podcast, a playlist, a recipe, a helpful tip, a cleaning product, or something I added to our home. Basically if it’s something little that I feel is shareable or if it’s something I’d bring up to a friend over coffee or on the phone, I’m probably going to share it with you here. Here’s a link to all of the posts in this series.
Here we are on the doorstep of December and the new year and if I am being honest, I am a little sad that we got here so quickly. I’m determined to make the most of December and to finish the year out simple and slow. What’s my plan? Do less, finish up gifts and wrapping early, and plan a couple memorable family activities. And we’re getting a puppy (this is dog #2) so that will change things up a bit for December and keep us home a little more and I’m kind of happy about that. I’ll share some snippets on Instagram if you want to see her debut next weekend.
If you didn’t see it, I introduced my *new* Homekeeping Planner and I’m doing a quick pre-order (ends 12/3 at noon cst). Head to this post to see more or go here to pre-order with free shipping.
Of course we need some holiday inspiration, right? Jones Design Company has such a clever idea for gussying up a craft store wreath with fresh greens (from your yard) – go here to check out the full tutorial.
Looking for some free Christmas decor? Check out this round-up from Eighteen 25 with 25 free Christmas prints. Cute to trim and pin up on a board or the fridge or to put in a frame! Check it out here.
What have you been enjoying this week? Any little things to share?

I put out my Advent wreath Saturday, to start using Sunday. This is a tradition from my childhood. I don’t put up a tree these days, as two now-senior terrier-mix dogs share our home. I also filled a glass vase with colored Christmas ornaments and put it in a safe place near the front entry. The mantel is decorated except for the stocking hangers and stockings.
All in all, a less busy Christmas season. I much prefer it to the rushing around trying to get “everything” done.
