It’s the Little Things #5
What a week! I’ve been working on a few things behind the scenes for what feels like forever and you guys – they’re almost done. I cannot wait to share everything with you – August is going to be a big month! Need a hint? First up – a course all about getting started with a routine and ending the overwhelm. I know that this is a huge topic and struggle for so many of us and I am really excited to share this with you.
I’ve also been updating planners and paper products in Clean Mama Home – look for those releases very soon! —-> There are a couple things on sale (binders, notebooks, planners) in Clean Mama Home while we get ready for new inventory – when they’re gone, they’re gone!
In the meantime, it’s time for ‘It’s the Little Things’, where I share some favorites from the week with you – it might be a quote, a print, what I’m reading, a favorite podcast, a playlist, a recipe, a helpful tip, a cleaning product, or something I added to our home. Basically if it’s something little that I feel is shareable or if it’s something I’d bring up to a friend over coffee or on the phone, I’m probably going to share it with you here. I hope you enjoy the little things – they’ll be coming to you weekly over the summer (maybe longer). Here’s a link to all of the posts in this series.
A couple weeks ago I said I was re-working our kitchen sink/window area and I am still re-working it. In my ‘inspiration search’ I came across Studio McGee for the first time and was equal parts, ‘have I been under a rock’ and ‘where have you been all my life’. Yes, a total exaggeration but I love the style – they even have a shop McGee & Co. I kind of want them to re-do our home. Anyway, here’s a great post with tips for styling a kitchen sink from the experts at Studio McGee.
I love grilling in the summer and chicken is definitely a weeknight favorite. Ambitious Kitchen has a great post on chicken marinades – I love that she uses simple and clean ingredients. I typically pick up big bags of the organic chicken at Costco. Check out this post from the archives with some of my favorite Costco items.
I love listening to Spotify playlists – here is a great one from Tsh Oxenreider of The Art of Simple.
Have a little thing to share from your week? Tell us in comments!

I made my very first courgette and spinach lasagne. It was really divine. Thank you for sharing your marinade ideas. All inspiration is welcome.

I have been decluttering so that I can get to deep cleaning. We have a few thousand books that needed organizing.( Four bookcases with over 1,000 books are already done. )
I have just loaded my car–full back seat area and half front–for charity drop-off.
I still have a very long way to go, but I have made a huge dent in the mess.

Keep at it. Been there and you do get through it.

I just love these posts and I hope you will continue to do them after the summer is over. If not every week, maybe once or twice a month. Thanks for sharing your favorites!
