It’s the Little Things #76

Happy Friday!  Here are my favorites from the week with you – it might be a quote, a print, what I’m reading, a favorite podcast, a playlist, a recipe, a helpful tip, a cleaning product, or something I added to our home. Basically if it’s something little that I feel is shareable or if it’s something I’d bring up to a friend over coffee or on the phone, I’m probably going to share it with you here. Here’s a link to all of the posts in this series. My first little things is this brand-new cookbook From Freezer to Cooker :Delicious Whole-Foods Meals for the Slow Cooker, Pressure Cooker, and Instant Pot by Polly Conner and Rachel Tiemeyer of Thriving Home Blog. That’s a long title but necessary because it finally takes all the guesswork out of freezer meals and slow/fast cooking.

This book is delightful and just what this busy mom needs as we head into spring sports season. Here’s the thing. Every recipe has whole food ingredients, is simple to make, and translates to busy families.

My daughter and I spotted this Chrissy Teigen 4 cup measuring cup at Target on one of our Target runs. We grabbed one and I went back for a second. I have been looking for a non-printed 4 cup glass measuring cup for years – yay!  I find that the markings wash off in the dishwasher and this solves that issue. The lid is a great idea and works well for storing liquids, marinades, dressings, etc. in the refrigerator before using them. Grab one at your local Target or find it online here.

If you’re looking for glass measuring cups, I’ve shared this one before but it’s also at Target and used almost daily in our house. In addition to having 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1 cup markings, this one has ounces too.

Did you see the Spring Edition of Clean Mama Quarterly? In a rushed, hurried society, I find myself looking for ways to slow down and savor the little things. Little habits, small acts, things that seemingly have no impact on anyone outside of our homes but they mean so much. I wanted to bring you something NEW, different and a little pause in your season. That’s how the Clean Mama Quarterly began. I find that this helps me slow down so I have time to do some of the things that are really important. You know the things that make life fun and memorable and help stretch time a bit? Let’s do more of those.

Grab the Spring Quarterly in the shop here!

Clean Mama’s Guide to a Healthy Home has been $12.59 on Amazon this past week – this is the lowest price I have seen it. If you don’t have it yet, grab your copy here – it’s the book I wish I had 10 years ago!

What have you been enjoying this week? Any little things to share?
