It’s the Little Things #87
Happy Friday! It’s time for some little things from this week. My hope is that these posts spark a little something with you, give you an idea or solve a problem for you too. It might be a quote, a print, what I’m reading, a favorite podcast, a playlist, a recipe, a helpful tip, a cleaning product, or something I added to our home. Basically if it’s something little that I feel is shareable or if it’s something I’d bring up to a friend over coffee or on the phone, I’m probably going to share it with you here. Here’s a link to all of the posts in this series.
The Clean Mama Summer Collection and sale is here! Head to this post for all the details.
If you missed the new Homekeeping Planner, here’s a post with all the details and a walk-through video – it’s on sale through Sunday PLUS there’s a 10% off coupon code for the Summer Collection!
I saw this recipe on Mel’s Kitchen Cafe for Easy Freezer Breakfast Burritos and had to share – she makes a breakfast casserole and uses that for the filling. What a great idea with less mess and clean up. Adding this to our freezer stash list today.
I can’t not share this – doesn’t this look amazing? One-Pot Chocolate Sheet Cake from Joy the Baker with three flavors of whipped cream for topping – yummy.
I’m excited to be sitting here reading this book this weekend. Any other Jenny Colgan book fans out there? I love her writing style and her books are just the perfect book for long summer days. This book just came out last week – I can’t wait to read it.
What have you been enjoying this week? Any little things to share?

Love Jenny Colgan! Remember the days when I had to get her books sent from the UK.

I spent an hour getting smelly sausage odour out of my house ????????????. We have a super Thermador vent hood and it wasn’t cutting through the smell. I didn’t want to use disinfectant and have my house smell like a hospital ???? so I boiled a spice potion, cleaned wood furniture with the good smelling cleaner, sprayed lavender essential oil, and finally baked a cake! I know you have an easier way to get rid of stinky stuff! Please share????.

Cecilia, for major smells, try making a spray of cheap vodka with a strong essential oil like peppermint. The vodka acts as a neutralizer for smells, and when it dries it just smells like peppermint (no vodka smell).

I have those Freezer Breakfast Burritos in my freezer right now. They are so yummy with a little salsa once they’re reheated. Great recipe!

Just finished reading “500 miles…”. And I loved it. Thank you for suggesting it. I think I will be reading more of her books.
