Kitchen Month – Family Dinner Favorites – FREE Printables
Menu planning is a really hot concept right now. I would guess that either you are totally on board or don’t have time for it – am I right? The beauty of menu planning is that it ultimately saves you time, effort, calories, and money, but it can be really hard to implement in an already busy life. If you are up for trying your own menu planning, I have a couple ideas for you this week to get you started. First up? Create a Family Dinner Favorites list – list favorite recipes all in one place and refer to it when planning your menu rotation. Go through your cookbooks, recipe binders, recipe cards, computer files/bookmarked sites, Pinterest account, ask your family what their favorites are, and write down all of your family’s favorite dinner recipes. As you’re doing this, use a post-it and mark the pages so it’s easy to reference and come back to. While you’re at it, if you haven’t made something in over a year or haven’t made it at all, maybe it’s time to toss it out.

Need some recipe ideas for Menu Planning? My friend Laura at I’m an Organizing Junkie has a weekly blog link up called Menu Plan Monday – hundreds of people link up and share their weekly menu plans. I find that keeping a recipe binder is key to my menu planning – you can see my post on that here: How to Make a Recipe Binder. Have you ever used Pinterest for your menu planning? Here’s a post with 3 Ways to Use Pinterest for Menu Planning.

Meal planning is a lifesaver for busy moms. Having a list of recipes that meet the needs of your family is one of the basis steps to getting dinner on the table.

I’m still trying to get on board with the meal planning. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just that it takes time to first start it. I love the favorite list! That is an easy way to incorporate things the family already loves! Thanks for the printable and encouragement!
