New In the Shop – The Clean Mama Planner (18 Month)
I am oh-so-excited to introduce you to my new planner in the shop. Before I go into any details about the planner, let me just say that planners are very personal items and to create a planner for ‘the masses’ is impossible. So I created a planner that works for me and I tweaked it to work for more than just me and then tweaked it some more to create The Clean Mama Planner. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do!
A few of the gazillion (yes, an exaggeration) things that I considered?
- Simple format is key – as schedules change you need a planner that will accommodate those changes. If you have a very loose schedule, this planner will work for you. If you have oodles of details and appointments, this planner will work for you. Somewhere in between? You’ll love this planner.
- Easy to print and DIY – Figuring out how to print on both sides of the paper or reducing the size of the paper can be complicated. The set up of the pages make it easy to customize the size and print.
- Simple color scheme and not a lot of graphics give it a clean, modern look, not to mention cheaper to print at home.
- Customizable – with more pages than you’ll probably need, I have included lots of options for you to customize your own perfect planner.
- Price – you can spend a lot on planners, I hope this is affordable for you and a great way to organize your life. Or at least the next 18 months of it!
Let me show you around the planner a little bit….
the planner comes with 2 versions of this simple cover (if you want the words changed, you can leave that as a note to seller and I’ll make one change for free)
the planner has 157 pages of weekly calendar pages – one week on two pages
a little more of a description of the weekly planner pages
2 notes pages – one in green and one in teal – lined and grid sections on each
Schedule for the Week page (weekly docket) and dates to remember for those special dates
At a Glance page – 18 months all on one page and Dates to Remember together in the planner
18 Months of calendars – vertical orientation
print back to back to fit more pages into your planner and to make your planner more versatile
Here’s what’s included in the Clean Mama Planner (182 pages):
- 2 Planner Covers – both have simple stripes and say ‘my planner 2013-2014’ – convo me if you’d like that to be personalized – one change is FREE
- 18 Month Planner – each week on a 2 page spread – 157 pages (teal)
- July-December 2013 Calendar (vertical, binder style) – 6 pages (green)
- January-December 2014 Calendar (vertical, binder style) – 12 pages (green)
- Docket/Schedule for the Week – 1 page (teal + green)
- Notes (lines and boxes) – 2 pages (one teal and one green)
- 18 Month at a Glance Calendar page – 1 page (teal)
- Dates to Remember – 1 page (teal + green)
The Clean Mama Planner (July 2013-December 2014)

LOVE it! I have a question though, I’ve been trying to find the Washi Tape in my local stores and I can’t seem to find it. Where do I find it? Maybe I’m not looking in the right section or something. I really want to try to use it with my planner. TIA!

Post authorI usually find it on Etsy – here are a bunch of stores that sell it:

Or Downtown Tape:

What size folder do you put this in

It looks awesome, but what is the size of it? 8X11?
Becky Says
Post authorIt’s 8.5×11, but you can also print it A4 or A5 and two to a page and back to back. I printed it out both ways – I just prefer the larger format 🙂
Here’s a post with directions on printing smaller:

Becky, it looks great, but also looks overwhelming to me. I have a first time iPhone that I’ve had about a year. I have my basic schedule on that. I also have a big old fashioned paper calendar that hangs on our wall by our kitchen that all 7 of us put our individual schedules on. It’s the only way I’ve been able to keep everybody’s schedules straight, so far. Then I have a binder with some of your basic info in it. I have the five days of the week assignments and the deep clean your house sheet in there, along with my favorite tools from your site, so far. How will this “binder” planner help me? I’m scared I won’t be able to keep up on it? Just need your thoughts, please.

Post authorHi Nikki!
If you like to write down your schedule in a planner and customize it (put the pages in an order that works for you), you’ll love the planner. I think planners are personal things – not everyone wants to write down important dates and appointments in a notebook. You might prefer a wall calendar and your iPhone and that’s totally great. I use all three and it works really well for me, but you need to decide what works for you and your family!
I hope this helps!

Hi Becky – I stumbled onto your site about a month ago and love it! Being a newly SAHM with three under the age of six I’m struggling on how to keep from loosing my mind [without having a smartphone]. Can I ask what kind of printer do you use when you aren’t sending things out? The last planner I tried printing used up an entire set of our printer’s ink cartridges and unfortunately they aren’t cheap. Thanks so much for all of your resources!

Post authorThanks Laura! I have an Epson Workforce 520 and I love it!

ok, forgot to mention that I really like your planner and am going to download it…..even if printing it might not happen right away 🙂

I bought this yesterday and printed part of it, but am thinking I don’t care for the way I printed it. I’m planner challenged and this is not intuitive to me. I do really like the individual components, just not sure how to put it together. So how would you print and organize your planner binder? Right now I have the weekly planner printed thru August in one section and the monthly 2013 calendars printed double sided in another. I originally printed the cover on the first page of the weekly calendar, but am finding I don’t care for that. Then there’s the weekly docket and I’m not sure how to use that and the notes and I’m not sure where those would go either. Could you throw out some options? Thanks!
Becky Says
Post authorSure Maggie! Yes, 182 documents can be overwhelming! Here are a couple suggestions to get you started:
*You don’t have to print it all off at one time – you could print it for this year and then in Nov/Dec print off 2014.
*I like a calendar at the start of each month so I put one in between each of the planner months, but you could put all of the months together back to back and then have a divider with them so you can easily access them.
*I printed 20 dockets off and put them in the back and then if I have a really busy week that needs a little more focus I pop that into the planner week.
*the notes can be in between each month or can be printed off and put at the back of your planner and used as needed.
You might not use each and every document and that’s okay!

Thanks Becky!
I’m glad I only printed a portion while I try and figure it out. I’m just affraied if I continue to go by trial and error I’ll be going through a lot of paper. 😉 Even with it printed less than ideally I’m already using it and that’s a huge step from trying to keep everything in my head. I have an ipad and a wall calendar but for some reason those don’t seem to work as well for me.

Post authorOf course Maggie! I have the iPhone and wall calendar and I NEED a place to keep all the other things that just float around in my brain – that’s why I created the planner 🙂

I was so excited for this to work and my excitement is turning to disappointment and frustration. I want my planner to fit in my purse. I use large purses, but certainly don’t want to carry 8.5×11 binder so I use 8.5 x 5.5 or 6. When I started to print the monthly pages and printed as you suggested to get two on one page I didn’t realize each entire month will print on one little page. Each day box is just 5/8″x7/8″!??? Plus there is empty top border of 1 1/2″ and 1 1/8″ on bottom wasting usable space. Is this just me and my printer or is this how it is intentionally set up?
My planners before had one full month to be viewed between two open pages next to each other… book style …with half the month on the left page w 4 columns (ie..Sun Mon Tue Wed and the right page 4 columns Thr Fri Sat Notes.
Since I like to see the whole month at a time and use that 100% of the time and use daily or weekly pages just for details like addresses or notes and specifics, am I outta luck on this style?
Becky Says
Post authorHi Patty!
I haven’t had that experience at all – I’m wondering if your printer is defaulting that way. Can you change the margins or select a box that says ‘fit to page’? When I printed the planner out as the 5×8 size to make sure it would work for customers, I selected ‘fit’ to page and you may have to select booklet to get your printer to print the way you are intending. I am not 100% clear on how you want it to print, but if you want one week to be side by side open at the same time, that should work perfectly. (In your comment you said the whole month at a time and I don’t think that that would work with the weekly docs).
Please feel free to email me with any more questions! clean.mama@yahoo.com

I love this planner! I was going to try to get organized before school started so I bought myself a planner. Well, before I even had a chance to write in it I can’t find it! I like this option with the binder. But what do you do with the Washi tape?? I keep seeing this places but couldn’t figure out what people use it for?
Thanks!
