I test and use a lot of cleaning supplies and tools on a daily basis and I’ve found that organizing them so I can easily access what we need and see what you have is helpful and it makes cleaning a little more fun. I’m sharing some great storage solutions and ideas for your products with the help of mDesign today. I can’t wait to show you how their products transformed my cleaning closet.

This post is sponsored by mDesign and I received the products to use in this post but as always, I only recommend products and companies that I use, have tested in my home, and love. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

The first step in any organizing endeavor is to evaluate the space to see what you need or what you might want to change. Look at those pain points or the things that aren’t working well and figure out a better way to is to measure and re-measure.

Once you’ve figured out what you need, put your products and systems into place and be prepared to tweak things as you use them. I’ve re-organized my cleaning closet a couple times but I have finally settled on what I want where and where everything works best. Sometimes it takes a little bit of time to use a space and know what works and what doesn’t.

I moved shelves around, added labels to the shelves and got the space just right and then started to add in some beautiful mDesign products.

The first update I made in my cleaning closet was to use these Lazy Susan turntables to keep often used sprays and DIY cleaning ingredients. I love how the turntables can keep products grouped together, give you equal access to each product, and they also give you more storage space.

These large wire baskets could have been used for storing so many different things – I love the size and shape of them and I especially like the handles.

I used them for storing my floor care products – I keep them on a higher shelf so this handled basket makes it easier access the products.

I also put one on a lower shelf to store cloths that need to be laundered. This allows them to continue drying (I never put them in wet, just barely damp or already dry) and it keeps them off the floor.

I used these small wire storage baskets for the containing the bulk of my cleaning supplies.

I love how they look on the shelves – they’re the perfect size for my cleaning cloths. I divided up my microfiber cloths, bar mop towels, and flour sack towels.

I also used them for already spray cleaners and empty glass bottles and sprayers. You can also see one above in the image with the floor cleaners – I put my floor pads in one too.

I put my furniture care supplies this adorable small caddy. It’s small but can contain quite a few products.

I also put a couple empty large caddies for when I need to load up a couple supplies to do some  seasonal or deep cleaning.

I also added three of these wall mount broom and mop holders.

I love how they get everything organized and off the floor. They hold the handles perfectly!

I hope you found an idea or two for your own cleaning supply storage! Get creative and use what you have – it might be a caddy, or cupboard, under the sink, a corner in the basement – with the right products, you can add a little more function and end the clutter.

The products pictured can be found on mDesign – I love their products and how easily they can be implemented! Clean Mama Home products were also used in this post.
