Are you ready for a little home reset? November and December are chock FULL of good things and lots of extras. Once December 26th hits it’s like a switch – it’s time to get rid of all.the.things. I know the feeling, I completely get it and I am here for you! A whole-home reset sounds refreshing, freeing, and best of all, if done right, it’s the ultimate simplification.
Let’s do a little clutter challenge together and reset our homes this January, shall we? If you have grandiose goals or little goals, you can achieve them with a little consistency and a plan. I am here to show you exactly how to reset your home so you feel calm every time you walk through the door. No more anxious feelings when you see the piles of clutter and things that need to be put away. You’re going to get rid of the stuff, manage it going forward, and get ready for a successful 2019. Ready? Here we go!
I’ve set the challenge up with a weekly checklist. Each week, we’ll work through different areas of your home and follow the checklist. You’ll notice that the checklist is loose so you can tackle all the week’s tasks on one day or spread them out over the week. And guess what – because I know neither of us will finish everything up, the last week is for catching up on anything uncompleted.
Every Monday for the month of January, I’ll post some tips for the week ahead right here on the blog (make sure you’re subscribing below). Read on for more, grab your checklist, and follow along! I’ll be posting daily Instagram Stories as I work through the challenge in our home, with the hope that it inspires and helps you along the way too!
Psst! The Whole Home Declutter is the MONTHLY FOCUS in my Homekeeping Society subscription. Every month I focus on one room or area for the entire month – the subscription provides extra support and details to help you get and keep your home clean and organized. Check it out here.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Download the FREE printable Clutter Challenge Checklist (it’s down in the middle of the free printables page – I’m working on getting it to the top)
- Follow me on Instagram – I’ll be posting daily in my stories with what I’m working on every day.
- Sign up for my email list – if you already receive my emails, there’s no need to sign up again!
- Need more? Grab my Clutter Handbook
- Looking for a fresh approach to cleaning? Check out my best-selling book, SIMPLY CLEAN.
See you back here tomorrow, Monday, December 31st for the start of the challenge!

I’ve also passed this on to my sister so we can support each other through this and maybe make it a competition at the same time. By the way, some of us don’t do Instagram or whatever you call it. So we’ll look forward to your emails.

I look forward to doing this with you! I did have a question about January’s free printable calendar. Every time I click on the calendar link it always comes up with November 2018. Is there a different link I should click on? Or maybe this is a known issue and is in the process of getting fixed? I just absolutely LOVE those monthly calendars! They have made a huge difference in my home and I can’t wait to print January’s! Thanks so much for all you do!!

Oh this is such a great list and a great reminder that I should probably join in. I will have to tweak it a smidgen (since we are currently living in an RV waiting to build) but this should work perfect! Thank you for sharing this — definitely following you on Insta!
