Here are the steps I’m following….
quickly sort through clothing
keep – clothes that I want to keep will stay on the hangers and in the drawers
pack away – kids’ clothing in appropriate bins
toss – any clothing with damage or holes
donate – any clothing that doesn’t fit
I’m hoping to clear out about 25% of my clothing and get my kids’ clothing switched out for spring this week – how about you? Friday we’ll talk about all things cleaning routine.

Great assignment! I have our clothes pretty decluttered, but I think I could go through the kid’s clothes again and put a few more things into the donation pile.

Great challenge! Clothing has been a constant battle in our house. We have 3 girls and I LOVE to buy clothes for them. I’ve been trying to go at their clothes with open mind and getting rid of things that I don’t absolutely love.

I cleaned out the old clothes in my dresser last Saturday. Next is the closet. My spring cleaning routine is cleaning everything (deep clean, declutter, vacuum underneath funiture, etc) on 1-2 walls in a room every week. I’ll finish with shampooing the carpets. I work full time so I don’t have a lot of time to spend on one room, so I am breaking it up.

This is a great assignment. I have been dealing with clothes clutter forever. I started today and clean out me and hubby’s dresser. I got rid of one bag. Now since my laundry is so behind I just declutter as I wash.

I must be a mind reader because before I read this post my hubby and I cleanded out our closets yesterday and donated it all to Salvation Army.

Had I read this sooner I could’ve avoided the 6 loads of laundry i just did!

So wish I could switch out the kids clothes for spring, but sadly the 4′ (or more) of snow dictates otherwise. Heading off to clean out my own closet though.

Thanks for the challenge! The closet has been tackled, but now it’s time for those dreaded dresser drawers!

I was about ready to start putting winter clothes away 🙂 I went through my closet and drawers not long ago, but I will be working this week on my cedar chest, getting out the spring clothes and deciding what to keep, toos, and donate 🙂

I agree with Kimberly! I am so ready to put away winter clothes and go through summer clothes, but these cold temps are telling me it just to early. I need to take a pass on this challenge!

I came here from a blog, andvsaw that you were doing another cleaning month. I suddenly felt the urge to clean my 3yo’s room-so I did! Took less than 30min (all at once)!
Tomorrow, i tackle my youngest’s room, which is mostly clothes. Will probably take me longer!
Thanks!
