What’s On My Book Stack : Favorite Cookbooks for Fall
Fall brings about all the cozy food, doesn’t it? The casseroles, slow roasted soups, stocking the freezer, and all things pumpkin spice. I love paging through cookbooks, looking for recipes and making a meal plan. For me, it can be a little therapeutic and a fun way to spend a few minutes on a Friday afternoon or a rainy Sunday.
I pulled together some of the cookbooks I’ve been using the last few weeks and ones I’ve used in the fall before to share with you – I hope it inspires you to dust off a cookbook and dig in to find something to make this week.
100 Cookies, by Sarah Kieffer – I love this cookbook, its nostalgic but definitely doable desserts make me want to get in the kitchen and whip up a batch of cookies. Perfect for a little fall baking. Snickerdoodles, anyone?
Family Meals from Scratch in the Instant Pot, by Lisa Burns – I enjoy following Lisa on Instagram @thispilgrimlife and love her simple and easy take on the Instant Pot.
Homestead Recipes, by Amanda Rettke – As a midwest girl, I love the midwest flair of this cookbook. Great main dishes and desserts and plenty of inspiration to be found.
SkinnyTaste Meal Prep, by Gina Homolke – I do a fair amount of meal prep and love this healthy take on prepping ahead a variety of foods. It’s time and money saving and good for you – all things I can get behind.
Everyday Dinners, by Jessica Merchant – Love this cookbook and especially love the whole chapter on sauces and dressings.
Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking, by Dana Shultz – We love our animal proteins but I appreciate having some vegetarian recipes in my repertoire. This cookbook has great main dish ideas as well as sides. Yummy.
The Complete Make Ahead Cookbook, by America’s Test Kitchen – this is my favorite make ahead cookbook. I use it all year long but it’s great for make ahead and batch cooking recipes and ideas.
Once Upon a Chef : Weeknight/ Weekend, by Jennifer Segal – Easy and healthy weekday recipes abound – love this cookbook.
Half Baked Harvest Every Day, by Tieghan Gerard – Half Baked Harvest is definitely a favorite follow and I’ve tried so many recipe. None disappoint and I love this cookbook for its every day cooking appeal.

The real food dieticians cook book is an absolute favourite to add to the list. I have most of the ones you have listed but added this one to my collection and have not had a bad recipe. Even my fussy eaters love the flavours
